So, you're a Christian single in the dating scene but you want to follow God's rules for dating, right? Well, that is definitely easier said than done - especially when it's difficult to figure out what the Christian dating rules are in the first place. And on top of all that, different Christian religions have different dating guidelines.In an effort to help, I've compiled a list of Christian dating rules taken from the bible and from some of the more common Christian sects. Please remember that some of these (such as making your boundaries clear and having fun) are simply guidelines or suggestions, not rules from the bible.
Date Fellow Christians
Dating fellow Christians is a rule that comes directly from the bible. By dating fellow Christians it's easier for both of you to be strong in your faith. It also makes the prospect of marriage a bit easier to swallow when you both believe in God and have similar views in raising children. And last, having something as big as your relationship with God in common with your partner makes the dating game a little bit easier for the both of you.
Make Your Boundaries Clear and Stick to Your Beliefs
With the flood of emotions that dating and relationships bring, sticking to your boundaries and beliefs can be difficult. Don't put yourself in a place where you could easily or rapidly fall into temptation. For example, if being alone is or becomes a problem, date in groups or date in public places. How we dress for our dates can also determine the level of temptation. Revealing or skin tight clothing can lead to temptation.
